Bryson Butts
Lead Pastor
As founding and senior pastor of Champion Church, Bryson is known for his relevant teaching style, his heart for reaching out to hurting and broken people, and his desire to fulfill the Great Commission. Bryson and his wife Susan, have triplets and are both from the Wichita area.
Bryson and Susan are passionate about providing a life-giving church focused on the simplicity of the Gospel and the power of an intimate relationship with a loving God.
Bryson’s educational background includes a BS from Kansas State University, a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Scott Dryden
Pastor
Scott is passionate about lost souls being saved through Jesus Christ. He was adopted into God's family at the age of 28, and his life was forever altered as he surrendered his life to Jesus and was called into ministry. Scott's genuine love for others and his compassion to serve is apparent to all who know him. Outreach to the neighborhoods and serving those who are most vulnerable in our community is at the core of his DNA.
Scott and his wife, Deneen, are raising their family of 10 children, many of whom are "adopted" and they are advocates in this arena. Scott and Deneen desire to be part of this life-giving community called Champion Church which is God's answer to many years of praying, serving, and seeking His plan for their lives.
Jamal Thompson
Director of Student Ministries
Jamal is the husband of Shalon, the father of four beautiful daughters, and has a heart to see youth be all that they can imagine. Jamal is determined to walk side by side with the youth of this community to coach, teach, and carry them when necessary. He is a self employed business man of this community for 13 years. Jamal has been educated by the Word of God through the Holy Spirit and the streets of this community.
Kelly Taylor
Executive Assistant to the Pastors
As the right hand to the pastors of Champion Church, Kelly Taylor is VERY busy in the office! But her true heart is to help every hurting and flawed person know the power of an intimate relationship with God. It is her desire to be a part of building the Kingdom of God. Kelly has four beautiful children and has lived in the Wichita area most of her life.
Kelly’s educational background includes an AAS from Butler Community College, a BS from Wichita State University, a cosmetology license from Xenon International School of Hair Design and a certificate in Faux Finishing from Wichita Area Technical College.
